Thursday May 19, 10PM – Sean Noonan’s Boxing Dreams String Quartet @ The Stone

I’ll be playing in a string quartet with drummer/composer/storyteller Sean Noonan. It’s tonight! (Things have been busy, haha.) The Stone is at the corner of East 2nd Street and Avenue C – Facebook eventhere.

Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21, 8PM – Wordless Music @ The Society for Ethical Culture

Signal and the Wordless Music Orchestra will be playing the US premiere of Doghouse by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, the NYC premiere of Phillip Glass’s Symphony No. 4 and György Ligeti’sChamber Concerto. There are still some tickets for May 20 and May 21 and some will also be available at the door. The Society for Ethical Culture is at 2 West 64th Street, at Central Park West.

Sunday May 22, 9PM – Noam Faingold Orchestra @ Cafe Orwell

Composer Noam Faingold is back in the US, and we’ve got a rock orchestra together to play some old and new tunes. Cafe Orwell is at 247 Varet Street in Brooklyn. Facebook event here

Thursday May 26, 8:30PM – The Ludlow Thieves @ The Mercury Lounge

Saturday May 28, 10PM – Koren Ansambel @ The Living Room

Pianist Daniel Koren and the Koren Ansambel bring more hilarity to The Living Room – in all seriousness, these guys are hilarious. He’s got a string quartet playing in this, too. The Living Room is at 154 Ludlow Street in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Sunday, May 29th, 9PM – Oh! You Pretty Things: The Children of Glam @ Le Poisson Rouge

This Ambitious Orchestra will be celebrating the music of New Romantic movement including songs by Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Duran Duran, David Bowie and more. Le Poisson Rouge is at 158 Bleecker Street in Manhattan, ticketing info here.
